I lead and manage, as ODI staff, the delivery of the delivery of Knowledge to Policy learning from the project activities as well as to inform about interesting international experiences the project team and partners. I provide capacity development and mentoring support to the project team and partners on strategic planning for bringing research evidence into policy decision making.
I work closely with the M&E team to help set specific parameters for measuring the overall success of the knowledge use components and provide input into hypotheses for measuring overall program success.

The study aimed at understanding and considering the political economy context within which the new DRM program that AusAID is designing will. The political economy analysis focused on identifying: suitable program partners, identifying potential barriers to development of the DRM sector, where there is a drive for progressive development of the sector, key risks for the program, areas of work that are politically feasible in the context, technical solutions that are also politically feasible.

The political economy of the use of knowledge in urban resilience and natural disaster risk management in the Philippines

This study examined whether the processes that govern policy and decision-making on resilience to natural disasters in urban areas of the Philippines are good, i.e. fact-based and deliberative, and tested by real arguments. The study was conducted in collaboration with De La Salle University, Manila.

The exercise has provided information on how government agencies utilize their budgets and resources to address climate change issues. The study will help Thailand in accessing emerging international climate funds.
